...and now for the Other Stuff...

Fudge

For butter and sugary goodness, come hither.

Shadowrun, Star Wars, Cthulhu, Gate Crasher, Celmis, Armengar, Dark Sun, Exalted, Aberrant, Maelstrom

A few bits and pieces from the Shadowrun game. Which we no longer play :( Since I'm making a conscious effort not to get overly involved in these characters, there's going to be very little written. Coz I don't have time! But here's some stuff I couldn't resist doing. Might get around to slapping some html onto the Christmas Interviews some day. I liked those :)

Phoenix' background
From the Ashes - Summary version of background.
Living Things - They say one person's life touches many...
Confessions of a Bass Player. Aka Boat Go Boom!

I've also got some quickie characters for Star Wars and Call of (aka Carry on) Cthulhu.

And some heroes from a Gatecrasher game played in Westport.

Mack is my character for the short-lived Celmis game and bears no resemblance to Mike Donovan whatsoever...

Check out Armengar and come with us to the next Gathering!

Rua's background.
Boundaries - an account of the Gathering 1101 through Rua's eyes.
Identity - explains the symbol of Armengar.
Accordance - all about the Heartland Games 1102.
Conscience - a crisis thereof.
Reflection - a self indulgent trip through Rua's character to figure out where she's going next.
Routine - aka Rua gripes about the men in her life but she sure as hell ain't telling them about it!
Photos from the banquet and Gathering.
Attitude - or a Day with the Family.
Sanctuary - the side effects of Winter Parliament 1102.
Renewal - a few words with Dad.
Twelve - the last twelve hours of a functional circle.
Chaos - no matter how bad it is, it can get worse. And then there's Mordred.
Views - Lugh gets a new friend.
Shatterings - aka the dangers of being a working Mom.
Realtanna - the kids do some stargazing and contemplate an Ancestor right before Uncle Benedict comes to babysit.
Awakenings - the kids come home and there's no more hiding from certain truths.
Changing Scenes - Armengar, the untakeable citadel, is taken. Rua and Lugh... and Footnote have some difficult issues to deal with.
Denial - Rua sorts her stuff out... with a little help from someone strangely familiar looking...
The Legend of the Three Sisters - the first children born on Amnor wander off alone. It had to start somewhere.
Heramacles' Hope - Heramacles performs a miracle.
Other Random.Armengarians - something to pass the time.

For the Dark Sun game that never happened, a light and fluffy character background for Adia!

And for Exalted there's Seffione.

Someday Tatiana Gorevitch's background will appear. Like today. For Aberrant. Nothing to do with Glantri. Nope. Coincidence. Quiet you. And genuinely the lightest fluffiest character on this page - and indeed associated DND pages.

I've got to come up with more angst than this. Tatiana is turning out positively Normal.

Norra gets in on some Quicksilver goodness for Maelstrom.

Angwels

Angwels was a very cool idea back in its hay day where a lot of different writers got together and wrote their stories in the same dark fantasy setting. Characters were borrowed, plots crossed, tales combined. It's not there anymore unless you search through old archives but my own contributions are on the sprucemoose server. (Well, cycle one is anyway. I might get around to cycle two some day...)

New Zealand

For two years I fantasized about taking a month off work and going to New Zealand. September 2002 I did it and the verdict is plain... it wasn't enough. Consider it a recognisance mission(yes I know it's spelt wrong. It's quaint) for when I go back...
There could be no other Middle Earth and that's the truth.

Stuff to read

Still not enough to read? If you haven't already, read JK Rowling's Harry Potter books. They're damn good books and worth the fuss.
Want something more grown up? Try 'Only Forward', 'Spares', 'One of Us', and/or 'What You Make It' by Michael Marshall Smith. Very very cool and make me want to write more Shadowrun stuff.
Peter David's 'Star Trek:New Frontier' books are also excellent. It's a different crew to any of the TV series and in my opinion they have a whole lot more character which actually get developed!
Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy is good stuff. It's in the kids section but some of the material is rather mature.
William Goldman's 'The Princess Bride' and Peter Hoeg's 'Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow' are another couple of good reads.
JMS is doing some fine graphic novels these days such as 'Midnight Nation', 'Rising Stars', 'Supreme Power'.
